Passion.com - Summary

Passion.com is a straight forward photo and instant messaging service that uses a IM service called Flash IMC.  It allows you to instantly start a conversation or video conference with another member. 

The Passion.com site lists its mission to help people find others in your area using the power of the internet.  Unfortunately, other than very straight forward instant messaging and email along with photos posted from member profiles there's really not much innovative here.

Passion.com does not feature a personality profiling tool or compatibility engines that we demand of any online dating service.  This is really a big miss as it means you're left with having to manually browse through photo's from singles in your area - with no help to guide your search or improve your chances of finding the right person other than trial and error.

Features and Functionality

Services Passin.com offers include everything from blogs, community message boards, quick looks at the number of local members in your area, and of course the usual fare of photo and message sharing between members.

There are so many distractions that some users may find it overwhelming.  Pricing is reasonable, but Passion.com seems to put too much emphasis on flashy images of young singles and the size of their member base and too little effort into the elements we feel are the most important in helping members find their match.

As you've probably surmised, Passion.com does not earn a high review due to its lack of substance or any real useful information and near exclusive focus on flashy images.
