Dreammates - Summary

Dreammates is part of the Relationship Exchange of sites - which is a database that shares/combines singles profiles across a variety of other websites (some you've heard of, some you probably haven't.  The service offers the ability to post a profile for free and browse member photo's and proviles.

Dreammates also has the standard fare of communication tools - they send an email out if you select someone you're interested in and offer the ability to alert you when a new member joins Dreammates that matches your interests.

Unfortunately, Dreammates stops short of adding the real value add service we demand of online dating sites.  There's no robust personality profiling or compatibility matching - this is basically a very standard photo/profile browser.  We also are a little uneasy about the sharing of user information across other sites we have no or limited access to.

Dreammates - Functionality Review

Dreammates promises an interactive messaging system and ability to express interest from other members.  This is good, but we see the same functionality in virtually every other dating service so there's nothing new here.

The key missing components are the lack of robust compatibility matching tools - this is what really separates users from a general photo browser to truly intuitive interactive profilers that help you make sense of the clutter of thousands of potential matches. 

Unless Dreammates does some significant upgrades, there's better options for you to consider in our opinion.
